Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect when I choose this treatment?
Often times, many conditions are very rapidly alleviated with acupuncture and herbs. However, when the imbalance has arisen over a course of years, relief can only be achieved with slow, steady progress. The patient will need to utilize their mind and body’s innate wisdom and infinite ability to heal and harmonize the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of health. The attitude, diet, determination and lifestyle of the patient will determine the outcome of this, or any form of healing.

Is Acupuncture safe?
Under the care and supervision of a licensed acupuncturist, your safety is assured. The needles for treatment are sterile and disposed of after each use. Students of acupuncture receive extensive training in all aspects of safety protocol.

Is Acupuncture painful?
Unlike the large, hollow needles used for injecting medication, acupuncture needles are very fine, flexible and about half the diameter of a strand of hair. Most patients find acupuncture to be pain free, when applied by a skilled practitioner many patients find the treatments very relaxing and even fall asleep during the procedure.
